Label spans in text (NER)

1. Projects → Create project. Name it on the Project Name tab.
2. On Labeling Setup, open Natural Language Processing and pick Named Entity Recognition (PER / ORG / LOC / MISC out of the box). For African scripts there are dedicated presets in the same group, e.g. NER — Hausa Ajami (RTL, Arabic script), NER — Amharic (Ge'ez script), plus Fulfulde and Kanuri Ajami, Tifinagh, and Code-Switching (Language ID per span).
3. Edit the <Label> values to your own entity types (each takes a background color).
4. On Data Import, upload text with a text column. Save.
5. Annotators click a label (or press its hotkey), then highlight the span. Overlaps and relations are supported by the editor.
