Run it yourself

AfriAnnotate is open source and designed to be run by you — a university lab, an NGO, a national language program — not rented from us. Data sovereignty is an architecture decision here, not a pricing tier.

  • Hosting — a complete production runbook (GCP Cloud Run + Cloud SQL Postgres + GCS media + Secret Manager, automatic migrations on deploy), and a plain-Django path for any other infrastructure.
  • Organizations — multi-org deployments with workspaces, member management, org metrics, and branding.
  • Platform administration — an operator's manual: email delivery, quotas, verification, session policy, security posture, management commands, desktop/mobile distribution, and an operator FAQ.
  • API & SDK — everything the UI does is automatable.

This section is written for the person on call: explicit commands, explicit defaults, explicit failure modes.
