Desktop app (Mac / Windows) and offline sync
Work these steps on the in-app checklist β account menu β My testing checklist β where every Pass / Fail / Skip is recorded the moment you press it, and Fail files the report for you. This page (and its PDF) is the same list for reading, printing, or working offline; if you used paper, transfer your ticks into the app afterwards.
The installers from the docs site. Note the version on every report.
Each step: Do this, then check You should see.
-
DT-01 Install and open; Mac: no security warning; Windows: SmartScreen 'Run anyway' once. You should see: the app opens to the login page; signing in works; the About screen shows the version.
-
DT-02 Sign up offline (solo mode) and label in a local project. You should see: everything works without internet; data is in the local store.
-
DT-03 Link the local account to the cloud (consent first). You should see: the consent step is shown; after linking, sync starts.
-
DT-04 Select ONE project to sync, disconnect the network, label 5 tasks, reconnect, click Sync. You should see: a deliberate sync modal shows pending changes; after sync the cloud has the 5 annotations; conflicts (if any) are held and listed.
-
DT-05 Open a project you did not download while offline. You should see: a clear 'online only' notice, not an endless spinner or a runtime error.
-
DT-06 Sync history page. You should see: each run with counts and timing; failures have a retry.
-
DT-07 Update the app to a new version and reopen. You should see: local data is preserved; the version changes.
