Danger Zone
Project → Settings → Danger Zone, or the Danger Zone entry at the end of the project dashboard.
Deliberate, hard-to-undo operations. Each sits behind a typed confirmation so an accidental click doesn't wipe data — or money.
Accept all pending annotations
Accepts every unreviewed annotation in one action and credits the annotators in the contribution ledger — straight to the pay process. The confirmation shows the exact pending / flagged counts and requires typing "accept". Tasks with an open review-queue item (crowd reports, QC routing, low agreement, outliers, manual flags) are always skipped and still need review. Cancelled (skipped) annotations and already-reviewed ones are untouched; the manager's own annotations are accepted but never self-credited. Cannot be bulk-undone. See Accept all pending for the full rules.
Gated to people who can manage the project: Owner, Admin, Manager, the project creator, and platform staff.
Reset cache
Recomputes the project's cached label / annotation summary from
scratch. Use it when you can't save a labeling-config change because
of validation errors about labels that no longer exist. Confirmation
word: cache. Runs as a background job; nothing is deleted.
Drop all tabs
Deletes every saved Data Manager tab (filters, sorts, column layouts)
for the project. Tasks and annotations are untouched. Confirmation
word: tabs.
Delete project
Deletes the project and everything in it — tasks, annotations, predictions, drafts, comments, uploaded files — immediately. There is no soft delete, retention window, or undo.
- Reversible: no
- Effect on annotators: the project disappears from their list at once; anyone mid-task gets a "project unavailable" response
- Effect on exports: in-progress export jobs fail
- Effect on webhooks: a
PROJECT_DELETEDevent fires on subscribed webhooks
Confirmation word: delete. The deletion is recorded in the platform
audit log as project.delete and org admins are notified.
Bulk Delete annotations / tasks / predictions from this page is not available — those buttons are disabled. Use the Data Manager's bulk actions instead (select tasks → Delete Annotations / Delete Tasks / Delete Predictions).
Why these are gated
These actions affect real labelling work that took real annotator time. Accepting hundreds of items blind, or deleting a project a team spent weeks on, is the kind of mistake that's hard to recover from at scale. Tab + typed confirmation is intentional friction — fast for a deliberate operator, slow for an accidental click.
What's NOT in Danger Zone
A few destructive operations that live elsewhere:
- Remove members — Settings → Members (per-member confirm)
- Disconnect cloud storage — Settings → Cloud Storage (data not deleted, just disconnected)
- Delete annotations / tasks / predictions in bulk — Data Manager selection footer
- Delete a labelling config — not possible directly; replace the config to "delete" the old one
For org-level destructive operations (transfer ownership, delete the whole org), see Platform → Orgs.
What's next
- Project setup → — the inverse: creating a project
- Review settings → — per-item review, the normal path that accept-all short-circuits
- Data security → — per-project access controls and data retention
